The hospital is an important place for scientific research in a number of areas related to animal health, and plays a prominent role towards serving the community through its annual treatment of thousands of cases of sick animals of multiple species and with its advice, advice and guidance to animal breeders in the region.
On Monday, January 1, 1443, the University Veterinary Hospital, in collaboration with camel club, held a one-month camel tampering course at the hospital's headquarters, where a number of trainees from different regions of the Kingdom benefit from this course.
This course aims to increase the efficiency of veterinarians from the different methods of tampering with camels and methods of detection on the face of it and using clinically and laboratory-advanced devices, where the course discusses several topics, including: the concept of tampering, types of tampering, and objective changes "injections, surgical and mechanical intervention".
Veterinarians are also trained to detect tampering and know the types, methods and methods in which they are performed in order to qualify qualified medical staff to carry out this task to the fullest through the use of modern technology in detecting these practices carried out by some camel owners motivated by material greed contrary to religion and human morality, and the trainee is expected after this course to be familiar with these different methods of tampering theoretically and scientifically and be evaluated at the end of the course theoretically and practically.
For his part, the director of the University Veterinary Hospital Dr. Abdullah Al-Hawass, explained that this course, which is held in cooperation with the Camel Club and the Department of Veterinary Medicine at the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine at the University, comes within the framework of the interest of our wise leadership represented by the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in raising the efficiency of the sectors responsible for promoting this country and fighting corruption of all kinds, praising the efforts made by the university represented by His Excellency Dr. AbdulRahman bin Hamad Al Daoud The President of the University and university agents to raise the efficiency of medical and other staff by holding conferences, training courses and workshops in various disciplines.
He added that the thanks are attached to Sheikh Fahd Al-Hadlin, Chairman of the Camel Club and President of the International Organization of Camels for his attention and efforts and attention to this heritage and national wealth in the past and present by supporting scientific research and chairs dedicated to research in the various sectors related to this great creature and holding camel festivals taking into account justice, integrity and distance from tampering, and this is reflected in the establishment of such a course to combat tampering in order to achieve justice and integrity in the festivals of King Abdul-Aziz camel.

His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Daoud, Rector of the University, launched today, Monday, the Tree Week, as part of the second phase of the initiative of His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, under the slogan “The Land of Qassim is Green”, which is implemented by the General Department of Maintenance and Services at the university. In cooperation with the General Directorate of Agricultural Affairs in the region, to plant 300 palm trees and 1500 shade trees, in addition to 1000 meters of green areas and thousands of flowers.
Al-Daoud expressed his optimism that this land will turn into a green land with the hands and determination of men, and with the great support that the university receives from the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince, His Highness the Emir of the region and His Highness his deputy, for their continuous follow-up and their keenness to transform the Qassim region into green lands. Pointing to the great benefit that will benefit the region and its people after the implementation of this initiative is completed.
On Monday, 16 March 1442, His Excellency Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad al-Daoud, President of the University, sponsored the launch of the university's participation in the "Land of Qassim Green" campaign, launched by His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mashal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Emir of Qassim region, which will last for 30 days, where the university is participating in its sixth phase, for the sixth time in a row. The President of the University also launched the initiative "Agarsha" launched by the university on Twitter Twitter continues for 30, where his Excellency planted the first seedlings of the campaign, and thanked the dean of student affairs and related participants, saying "God willing we will see the university city green land", in the presence of the university's undersecretary Dr. Mohammed Al-Sa'awi, and the vice chance-chancellor university for planning, development and quality Professor Dr. Khalid al-Harbi, at the main entrance to the university city.
On Wednesday morning, 15 February 1440, His Excellency Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Daoud, Director of the University, launched the campaign "Land of Qassim Green", at the university city headquarters in the presence of university agents and deans, where the campaign aims to plant 1,500 trees in the university city, starting with the initiative of the Emir of Qassim region, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Mashal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, who recently inaugurated the third phase of the campaign, to increase interest in afforestation and green spaces in the region.
Al-Daoud stressed the importance of this initiative to be a green land, pointing out the encouragement of His Highness permanent and urging him to take care of trees, especially the palm, which reflects their interest in progress, civilization, and sophistication, stressing that the university has a great burden in terms of research and agricultural studies, as it has a great capacity in this field with the presence of a specialized and pioneering college, namely the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine.
The University, represented by the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, organized on Tuesday, 17/3/1442 AH, a remote scientific lecture entitled "The tree is the solution", presented by Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Saqair, in conjunction with the launch of the sixth phase of the campaign launched by His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Meshaal bin Saud bin Abdul Aziz under the slogan "The land of Qassim is green and many parties in the region participate in it.
During the lecture, Al-Saqair reviewed the Kingdom's comprehensive environmental renaissance in which trees and vegetation cover, in general, were of particular importance, represented by giant protection and afforestation projects, listing many examples, which included the establishment of royal reserves, the Green Riyadh project, as well as the campaign of the land of Qassim green, and the campaign "Let's make it green", stressing that the Kingdom's Vision 2030 has defined the framework of this environmental renaissance and confirmed it.
The University, represented by the General Directorate of Maintenance and Services, continues its participation in the eighth phase of the "Land of Qassim is Green" campaign, which was launched on Wednesday, 28/3/1443 AH, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Meshaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of Qassim Province. During this phase, the General Directorate of Maintenance and Services at the University aims to plant approximately 12,000 seedlings of various trees throughout the University City, under the guidance and follow-up of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, where the University is keen to participate in this campaign every year and will continue to support it to ensure the provision of a healthy and clean environment within the University City.
