The university, represented by the Center for Sustainable Development, held a workshop on Tuesday, 18/4/1443 AH, entitled "The First Coordination Meeting of Sustainable Local Development Partners in Al-Qassim Region".This initiative came as part of the Center's efforts to cooperate with all actors in the Qassim region in everything that would contribute to achieving the goals of sustainable development in the Kingdom, and to crystallize the idea of establishing a coordinating entity at the level of the region on these goals to enable all partners to effectively contribute in this field. The coordinating entity undertakes an effective contribution to achieving the UN goals for sustainable development 2030, including promoting the concept of shared prosperity and inclusiveness in light of national sustainability standards and the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al-Omar, signed a cooperation agreement with Michigan State University of America, which was represented by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. John Yuat, last Thursday morning, 30/4/1436 AH corresponding to 19/2/2015 AD at the university headquarters in East Lansing.
The contract between the University College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine and its counterpart the University of Michigan School of Agriculture and Natural Resources includes many advisory and developmental aspects of the college's programs, academic units, curricula and human cadres, as well as the aspect related to academic accreditation through reviews of all the college's various programs and units and periodic reports.

Dr. Abalkhil: International cooperation with international institutions achieves academic, scientific and research addition.
The supervisor of the Department of International Cooperation and Scientific Societies at the University, Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Muhanna Abalkhil, pointed out that the Department of International Cooperation is making great efforts in order to develop international cooperation activities between the University and its counterparts around the world, specifically with universities that can achieve scientific, research and academic addition in general.
Dr. Abalkhil said that the Department of International Cooperation seeks to achieve a number of objectives by building bridges of cooperation between Qassim University and international scientific institutions in a way that contributes to achieving the vision of the university, in addition to developing mechanisms for scientific cooperation with distinguished universities in order to develop and continuously update the university's programs and curricula, and work to enhance opportunities to benefit from international agreements in the educational fields.
