The Palm Corner at the University Pavilion at the National Festival of Heritage and Culture "Janadriyah 32", provides a detailed explanation to visitors about the methods of palm propagation, which falls under the Palm Care Section, where the participants in the corner explain the methods of sowing, nucleus, palm propagation, and tissue transplantation, in addition to providing an interesting scientific explanation of the palm and dates and what they contain through simplified scientific facts to reach community members and interested people to enhance this aspect of them.

The staff of the corner supervised by the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine explained that the propagation of palms is carried out in several ways: either by seed, which is the kernel of the date, and this method is germinated where the plant comes out of the hole of the purifier, which is the only part from which the plant comes out, and usually the type of plant is contrary to the type of mother and is not the same variety after germination, or the second way, which is the propagation of palm trees through the fascia, which is the small palm tree adjacent to the big palm tree where it is removed The plant of the mother is planted in the ground and about five years after planting it produces fruit and is completely identical to the origin of the mother.

The third method is when the method of tissue transplantation where part of it is taken from the mother palm or tissue scraped from the body of the palm and placed in the laboratory and raised for about five years and after its growth is transferred to the nursery until it adapts to the external atmosphere for a year and after the nursery, the liquids are taken and planted in the soil in the field and five years the fruiting begins and the interest comes wild and watering the liquids in its three ways, and irrigation is traditional by submerging water and pumping it into earthen channels until it reaches trees Palms are completely flooded with water or drip irrigation of trees and the third is drip liquid irrigation which is modern irrigation.
