International cooperation between educational institutions is one of the most important factors that help to improve academic and professional aspects in order to reach high levels that qualify the College for national and international accreditation.

As part of its mission, the College approved international and local cooperation and signed two cooperation agreements with three prestigious universities: Stanford University in the United States of America, Maastricht University in the Netherlands and Schengen Medical University of the People's Republic of China.

From the college's vision of local leadership in the field of medical education, three memorandums of cooperation have been signed to provide educational and academic services to a number of public and private medical schools:

  • A memorandum of cooperation in medical education between the college and the Faculty of Medicine of Al-Jouf University in 1428 to supervise the educational program of the college.

  • Signing a memorandum of joint cooperation in medical education between the College and the Faculty of Medicine at Shaqra University in 1437 and for five years in honor of His Excellency the Minister of Education, where the agreement was signed by His Excellency the Director of the University, Professor Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Dawood and His Excellency the Director of Shaqra University in charge of Dr. Adnan bin Abdullah Al-Shayha. The agreement aims to join the University's national network of intellectual property support centers at the Authority, through which mechanisms are implemented to promote and support the foundations of national innovation, enable access to and benefit from technical and scientific expertise, provide assistance in the search and analysis of intellectual and technical property databases, to meet technical and business needs, in addition to raising knowledge of the advantages of intellectual property rights in general and information on patents in particular.

This agreement also seeks to define the procedures for hosting IP Support Centers, to ensure that beneficiaries have access to services tailored to their technical and information needs through the establishment of a national network of IP support centers in the host entities, including the second party to this Convention.

The Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) works to regulate, support, develop, sponsor, protect and upgrade the fields of intellectual property in the Kingdom in accordance with international best practices, and the establishment of the National Network of Intellectual Property Support Centers is a fulfilling part of the Authority's competencies and tasks, which is to provide information on intellectual property rights and make them available to the public, and to raise awareness of the importance of intellectual property and the protection of its rights, through the dissemination of technical data related to intellectual property rights in the sectors of industry, business and academia, and awareness on Appropriate use of IP as a tool to encourage and support innovation.

The network of IP Support Centers contributes to supporting the development of institutions by developing the results of technical research and the network of IP Support Centers provides many services to its beneficiaries: assistance in search services in IP databases and technical information taking into account the confidentiality of information, as well as identifying the problems of technical institutions and research topics within universities and research institutes, providing information on the latest scientific findings in various technical fields, participating in awareness-raising activities on intellectual property rights, as well as participation In the development of research findings, identify opportunities supporting technology transfer efforts.

His Excellency the Minister of Education, Prof. Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Issa, witnessed the signing of a memorandum of cooperation in medical education between Qassim University and Shaqra University on Thursday morning at the office of His Excellency at the Ministry's headquarters in Riyadh.

The agreement was signed by His Excellency the Rector of Qassim University, Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Daoud, and His Excellency the Acting Rector of Shaqra University, Dr. Adnan bin Abdullah Al-Shiha.

The cooperation agreement includes the desire of Shaqra University to benefit from the excellence of Qassim University in establishing medical and health colleges, designing distinguished study plans and programs, following up the application of those plans and programs, and transferring those experiences to ensure the establishment and development of medical and health colleges at Shaqra University.

The memorandum of cooperation includes Qassim University designing programs and study plans for medical and health colleges, following up the application of those programs and study plans, providing educational services to cover the shortage of educational cadres and transferring expertise and experience, in addition to developing and training faculty members by holding training courses and workshops, providing advisory services regarding contracting with faculty members in medical and health colleges, and providing advisory services regarding the equipment and laboratories needed by medical and health colleges to ensure Obtaining the best devices and laboratories that serve the study plans and programs, as well as providing academic services to students of medical and health colleges during the establishment period, and providing advisory services in the field of academic management of medical and health colleges.

His Excellency the Minister of Education blessed this agreement, wishing Saudi universities success in order to contribute to building the human being of this benevolent nation.

For his part, the Rector of Qassim University, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Daoud, pointed out that Saudi universities have permanent partnerships to advance their academic and research journey in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and the national transformation led by our wise leadership, pointing out that this agreement will contribute to the development of the outputs of medical education, stressing that the university is always happy and proud to provide its services in everything that contributes to the advancement of the country in various fields.

The Acting Rector of Shaqra University, Dr. Adnan Al-Shiha, stressed that the agreements and partnerships between educational institutions are health scenes that contribute to supporting the march of university education in the Kingdom in line with Vision 2030, stressing that the excellence of the health colleges at Qassim University and their use of experiential education contributed to our desire at the university to benefit from their rich experience, hoping that the agreement will achieve the desired goals.

It is noteworthy that Qassim University provides its advisory services and studies to educational institutions and other bodies in various fields through the Institute of Studies and Advisory Services at the University.

  • The College organized the Saudi International Conference on Medical Education over a period of four days from 2-5/0/1436 H at the King Khalid Cultural Center in Buraida. Scientific and research submissions have reached 258 scientific papers from 35 countries around the world. The conference also witnessed the participation of 23 international speakers in addition to 11 speakers from within the Kingdom and 14 workshops were held on the sidelines of the conference in addition to discussing 109 posters, and put forward 37 oral participations in the presence of 1,200 participants from inside and outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The conference also included several topics and thesis, including a presentation of various medical curricula in medical schools and medical education curricula with modern trends, methods of teaching and medical learning, in addition to various ways to evaluate the student of the Faculty of Medicine, and research modern teaching techniques, as well as the professional and educational growth of faculty members.

The College of Applied Health Sciences at the University signed on Tuesday morning a joint cooperation agreement with the public health sector in Al-Rass Governorate, which provides cooperation between the two parties in providing health awareness programs and programs to serve the community, where Dr. Abdullah Al-Rathee, Dean of the College, and Abdullah Al-Dabaani, Director of the Public Health Sector, signed the agreement at the headquarters of the Governorate, in the presence of Mr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Assaf, Governor of Al-Ras.

After the signing, Al-Rathea stressed that the terms of the agreement include the provision of a package of health awareness programs and community service programs, so that the college assumes full scientific supervision of them, and the provision of courses and workshops for the employees of the sector in addition to training students in primary health care centers, while the public health sector secures the needs and equips the premises to establish programs, courses and workshops.

He added that this agreement came on the directives of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Daoud, Rector of the University, and within the framework of the prior cooperation between the University and the public health sector during the past years, pointing out that this cooperation has been crystallized through the signing of this agreement, which centered on serving the student and the community and creating the appropriate conditions and capabilities to provide health and training programs all in the interest of the homeland and the citizen.
