The contract between the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine at the university and its counterpart the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of Michigan includes many advisory and development aspects of the programs, academic units, curricula, and human cadres of the college, in addition to the aspect related to academic accreditation through reviews of all college programs and its various units and periodic reports.
In light of the government's orientation towards digital transformation to achieve Vision 2030, the College of Computer has activated its partnership with Oracle through the open day activities to activate its training programs and services. The orientation of the College of Computers towards the expansion of the field of e-training to spread the culture of self-education and train students and faculty members on the latest technologies required in the labor market in the field of databases and programming to enhance career paths with study plans to raise the level of students and link their outputs to the requirements of the Saudi labor market. The Supreme Organizing Committee of the conference "The Role of Saudi Universities in Activating Vision 2030", to be held at the university headquarters in the middle of next month, continued its preparatory meetings under the chairmanship of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Daoud, Rector of the University and Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the Conference, in order to determine the readiness of the university and its preparations to receive this major event, which is one of the largest gatherings in the history of Saudi universities, in addition to distributing tasks to the specialized committees emanating from the Supreme Committee.
For his part, the Rector of the University, Al-Daoud, expressed his full confidence in the ability of the University to organize such an important event, stressing that the University has all the human and academic capabilities to bring out the conference in a manner that befits the status of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its ancient universities.
He added that the conference aims to address the roles and tasks that public and private universities should play to ensure the activation of the objectives of Vision 2030 and its initiative, based on the role that universities should play towards the vision project and its development programs.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Baridi, Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Conference, stressed that the Committee received more than 70 research participations prepared by more than 100 researchers from various universities of the Kingdom, including multiple studies and research that present its vision in how to develop and develop the path of education, scientific research and community service in the Kingdom, which are the main purposes of universities, pointing out that this diversity will have a positive impact in activating the contents of Vision 2030 in the context of university activities, programs and strategic and executive plans.
As for the parties participating in the conference, Al-Baridi pointed out that the number of public and private universities whose participation has been confirmed so far has reached about 18 entities, waiting for this number to increase in the next few days, as well as participation from the Ministry of Education and other ministries, which is an indication of the interaction with this important conference.
Al-Baridi stressed that the Scientific Committee has begun to judge the research contributions submitted to it, and filter them so that the most important and valuable scientific to discuss in the scientific seminars to be held during the conference with the participation of officials in the relevant bodies of the conference topic, and experts in higher education, which will enrich the dialogue and discussion, and then the recommendations that will be prepared at the end of the conference, and are handed over to the competent authorities in order to activate them in accordance with the approved mechanisms.

The conference aims, through the participation of several experts, academics, and specialists in this field, to discuss the results of the latest studies, research, and scientific papers related to the sustainable management of solid waste, and to discuss ways to contribute to the preparation of a vision on the sustainable management of solid waste at the national and global levels.

Through holding such workshops, the University aims to improve the quality of electronic services provided to all beneficiaries in line with the indicators of e-government development, in addition to drawing a road map for Qassim Digital University and improving the measurement of maturity towards digital transformation, which contributes to achieving Vision 2030 and enhancing cooperation and integration with all parties to ensure the speed and accuracy of business completion.
