The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, inaugurated a number of university projects announced by HRH Prince Dr. Faisal bin Meshaal bin Abdulaziz, the emir of the region, which cost 3,149,742,486,00 riyals and are distributed over 11 different university sites spread across the region, on Wednesday afternoon at the Valley Palace in Buraidah.
The number of projects inaugurated by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques reached 28 projects with a total value of 2,953,676,056,000, and the number of projects to be inaugurated 5 projects in 5 different locations with a total value of 196,066,430,00 riyals, which benefit a large number of students in addition to faculty members, staff and people of the region.
Projects include: University Hospital, Medical Clinics, 8 Educational Faculties, Sports Facilities, a Building for Supporting Deanships, a Workshop Building for the College of Engineering, in addition to faculty housing, classrooms, laboratories and scientific laboratories.

The students of the Faculty of Science and Arts in the governorate of Aqla al-Saqour affiliated to the university began studying in the new building after Completion of its equipment within two continuous working weeks around the clock by the General Directorate of Projects, Its equipment was expected to be completed in several months.
This followed the recent visit of His Excellency the Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Daoud . For the rented college building, accompanied by the members of the committee of the University Projects Authority , and after reviewing a number of Classrooms, which do not meet the conditions and the presence of some problems in them, directed His Excellency to stop studying in Those halls, expeditiously finalizing the equipment of the new building, and finding solutions within the period of Equipping the new building.
The General Directorate of Projects worked out a quick action plan after identifying the new building in which it began since Over seven years and identifying the remaining needs to become suitable to move to, All crews were directed to work to finish the building.
On the other hand, the Deanship of the College was tasked with rearranging the halls and study schedules according to what is available from Halls located outside the former rented building in which defects appeared so as not to disrupt the study in The departments of the college, and in parallel with that the General Directorate of Projects has worked on equipping the government building It is being created, and all that is necessary to be ready to study in it as soon as possible.
The General Supervisor of the General Directorate of Projects, Eng. Hamad Al-Shahwan, explained that the Department is in accordance with the directive of the General Directorate of Projects. On Sunday, 30/8/1440H, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, Rector of the University, signed 5 operating contracts, with a total value of 205,894,930 riyals, in the presence of university deputies and representatives of companies at the headquarters of the University City, where the first contract was signed with Mansouria General Contracting Company, for the construction of the buildings of the College of Health Sciences for female students in Al-Rass Governorate worth 89,100,792 eighty-nine million and one hundred thousand seven hundred and ninety-two riyals.
His Excellency signed the second contract for the operation and maintenance of the university city with the company Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Fahad & Sons, worth 50,753,352.50 fifty million, seven hundred and fifty-three thousand three hundred and fifty-two riyals and fifty halalas, and the third contract for the cleanliness of the university city came at the main center, and was signed with the company of geniuses for trade and contracting worth 44,361,738 forty-four million three hundred and sixty-one thousand seven hundred and thirty-eight riyals.
The University also signed a contract for the implementation of the completion of veterinary laboratory buildings (Phase II) with Aja Mountains Company for Buildings Ltd. in the amount of 7,021,198.04 seven million, twenty-one thousand, one hundred and ninety-eight riyals and four halalas, after which the fifth contract was signed for the implementation of the completion of the outpatient clinic buildings with the Mohammed bin Yousef Al-Ajlan Trading and Contracting Establishment, worth 14,657,850 fourteen million six hundred and fifty-seven thousand eight hundred and fifty riyals.
The Rector of the University congratulated after signing contracts for the companies, stressing that they are an important partner of the University in the implementation and completion of buildings and projects, as well as maintenance and cleaning works, to provide a complete learning environment and remove obstacles that may hinder them, stressing the need for the implementing companies and their employees to adhere to the terms and conditions of the contract, in order to achieve the interests of both parties, calling on God to reconcile and pay for all.

For his part, the Rector of Qassim University stressed that these contracts come within the system of new projects of the university, which continues its efforts to complete the branches of the university spread in the region, praising the support of the wise leadership for the march of higher education and offering his thanks to His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education for his interest in advancing the wheel of Saudi universities in general, appreciating the efforts of his colleagues in the Vice Rectorate and the concerned departments.
